Don't we all want to make life run more smoothly? Lately, I have been trying to find little hacks to help me save time & do my best to help re-use and recycle. I am working towards living a more minimalist lifestyle which will help me towards my 'making life run more smoothly' moto.
So, this week I thought I would share with you a few little things that are helping me at this stage of my journey.
Now, just remember that you are never going to get anything PERFECT. Because let's face it, its all about progression - not perfection. Andddd there is ALWAYS something that is going to get in your way. It's just how you manage to deal with these obstacles and how quickly you can overcome them.
A few weeks ago I decided to sign up to a toilet paper subscription. Pretty funny hey! (Thanks to my best friend who told me about this well over a year ago!!) But, honestly this is probably one of the best things that I have done in a long time. I wish I did it sooner!!
It was pretty exciting getting 'cool' toilet paper delivered to my front door AND the best bit is that you don't have to ever worry about running out of toilet paper again. Because you can set it up to suit your family size and they will just keep sending it to you every few months. So, it is called WHO GIVES A CRAP and the other bonus, it is 100% recycled toilet paper and they donate 50% of the profits to build toilets in the developing world. Absolutely love it!
This week on IGTV I shared a quick video on how I make my Chia Puddings. I thought I would share the recipe with you because this saves me so much time and I love that I don't have to think about what I am going to have for breakfast. Mornings are very hectic in my household so breakfast time for me is always late morning after I have finished kids drop-offs and my morning classes. Having them in the fridge as my go-to when I get home has saved me so much time, no need to worry about thinking or cooking something wholesome for breaky. Chia puddings are packed with protein, omega-3 fatty acids, antioxidants & also provide fibre, iron and calcium.
Benefits of this little superfood are:
2 tbsp chia seeds
2/3 cup unsweetened almond milk
1 tbsp natural almonds
1/2 tbsp cacao
1/4 tsp cinnamon
Berries + coconut flakes + pepitas to serve
In a glass jar with a lid place all ingredients into jar and mix well. Place in the fridge and keep shaking every 10min a few times to prevent going lumpy. Leave overnight. Can last in the fridge for a few days so you can make 3 at the same time.
Serve with some berries and coconut flakes and pepitas for a bit of crunch. This recipe is from my online training program - MY FITNESS THEORY!
